All of the aforementioned wireless devices work on other systems.
Looks like it might be time to take a second bite at the Apple. Well, the keyboard is of two types, mentioned below. Well, believe me, every problem has a solution. If your keyboard is not working, then it’s useless for you. Many other users have faced the same issue. All of the aforementioned wireless devices work on other systems. If your external keyboard is not working with a laptop then you are not only the one. Thank you for assistance in advance, Matt If you can enter the BIOS, and the problem key(s) work fine within that menu, your problem lies within Windows. I have been sharing this identical post everywhere I see fit and will continue until I (hopefully) find a solution.

Badabing… no problems other than I can’t use that for my presentations.Ĭonclusion is that M$ pushed some update that has affected how wireless mouses interface with Windows 10. Last ditch (with dread, but needed to troubleshoot), a wired mouse.
It doesn’t work just like the other mouses. NOTE: And yes, MANY cold and warm reboots in-between. So to continue with troubleshooting tried a Microsoft MSK-1056 with identical results. Try it on another computer… works just fine.

Being a hardware and software guy from back to the ’70’s I took it apart and cleaned the contacts and validated continuity. Plug wireless mouse #1 in and boot… no left mouse click at all.

Over the past couple of months I have tried every PowerShell script / scannow and driver update that I could find, tried many suggested control panel settings, installed and ran MANY antivirus programs, replaced batteries, left batteries out for an evening, tried multiple wireless mouses, used different USB ports, and yes… even allowed a full MS software upgrade. The software aspect of this error lies within the scope of Windows. Howdy, and before I get singed for not searching and reviewing posts please know that I have. Spacebar or Enter key is not working The problem can occur because of two reasonsHardware fault or Software issues. Then re-add it, and delete the other keyboard language.Nope… none of those worked. Once this is done, add a new keyboard (anything other than English United States), and remove the English (United States) keyboard.
The situation here is similar to HP laptops, that is, you need to press the FN key to use F1-F12 or multimedia buttons. You can try reseating the keyboard by following this guide: HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service Guide. Also FN key may not work on Dell laptops due to incorrect BIOS settings. I would be inclined to believe this is a hardware issue. I understand the "J" "K" "L" " " and "Enter" keys no longer work on your notebook keyboard, even after reinstalling drivers.
